For the fifth time in their ODI history, India’s top 4 batters registered 50+ run scores in IND vs NED World Cup 2023 game

India continued their rampage en route to the World Cup 2023 semi-finals as they took on Netherlands in the last game of the league stage. All the four top-order batsmen – Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer – brought up their half-centuries, even as India had over a dozen overs to spare.

The batting onslaught by the Indian top order made it the fifth time the top 4 batters have registered 50+ run scores for the Men in Blue in the ODI format. It was in 2006 in Indore against England when India first achieved this tremendous feat. They then went on to repeat it three more times before today’s IND vs NED contest.

Virat Kohli continued to display his consistency, bringing up yet another half-century. Shreyas Iyer, too, played his role to perfection, adding yet another ODI fifty to his name as India continued to dominate Netherlands.
