Sanju Samson’s Make or Break Opportunity in IPL 2024: The Road to T20 World Cup 2024

Sanju Samson will have a golden and most probably the only opportunity to impress the selectors in the IPL 2024, which will be the last major tournament before the ICC event.

Sanju Samson’s return to the India Cricket Team brought a mixed feeling among fans. While the wicketkeeper batter got a call back to ODI squad, he was snubbed for the IND vs SA T20I series, starting on December 10. His exclusion from the T20I squad has raised questions about his chances in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.

Samson’s only hope for getting a spot in the T20 World Cup squad would be through a great IPL 2024 which will take place from March to May.

Samson had an ordinary IPL 2023, where he scored 362 runs in 14 matches at an average of 30.17 and a strike rate of 153.39, did not help his cause either. He also failed to lead his team to the playoffs, finishing fifth in the points table.

However, Samson has not given up on his dream of playing for India in the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in USA and West Indies in June 2024.
