Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes has been released by Chennai Super Kings (SRH) whom they had bought for 16.25 crore- highest bided player in IPL 2023 auction. He had played only two matches in the previous season of IPL and had no impact on the match. Stokes could be bought by other teams but it is possible that he would get less price this time.
Harry Brook
England batter Harry Brook was a talking point in previous IPL auction. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at a price of 13.25 crore. However, he did not do justice to his price tag as his performance was not impressive in IPL 2023. In 11 matches, Brook scored just 190 runs with a poor average of 21.11.
Wanindu Hasaranga
Sri Lankan bowler Wanindu Hasaranga has been released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), adding a value of 10.75 crore to their IPL purse. Hasaranga was a key spin bowler for RCB, he had taken nine wickets in eight games in IPL 2023. His release came as a surprise as RCB needed a good spinner in their team.
Shardul Thakur
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has released 12 players ahead of IPL 2024 Auction. Shardul Thakur was also released by KKR to have 10.75 crore in their purse. Shardul had a disappointing IPL 2023 season where he scored 113 runs in 11 matches. He took only seven wickets in previous season.
Harshal Patel
Indian bowler Harshal Patel was bought by RCB at 10.75 crore. Harshal has 111 wickets in IPL history with an economy of 8.59. However, his last season was not ideal, he took 14 wickets in 13 matches with an economy of almost 10 runs per over.
