Shreyas Iyer! Star batter’s T20I return lasts 7 balls

Shreyas Iyer’s return was short-lived. The middle-order batter only faced 7 balls on his return to the India Cricket Team. Iyer, who was rested for the first 3 matches of the IND vs AUS T20I series, lost his wicket to Aussie debutant Chris Green.

Shreyas Iyer was rested for 3 matches after the ODI World Cup. He then returned as the vice-captain of the squad. In the IND vs AUS 4th T20I, Iyer replaced young southpaw Tilak Varma at the Number 3 spot in the Indian batting order.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had given the Men in Blue a strong start before getting out. Shreyas Iyer came in with high hopes, but he struggled, scoring just 8 runs off 7 balls before losing his wicket.
