Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto stunned Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand in the quarterfinal at Syed Modi International 2023. Priyanshu Rajawat continued his winning streak as he entered the semifinal in the same tournament. Seventh seeds Ponnappa and Crasto defeated fourth seeds Jolly and Gopichand in a surprising victory on 1st December.
Priyanshu Rajawat was dominant in the contest against Indonesian qualifier Alwi Farhan, winning in straight games. Rajawat has won all his matches in the tournament so far and will face Chinese Taipei’s Chi Yu-jen in the semifinal.

Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto sailed past higher-ranked Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand in the Women’s Doubles. Ponnappa and Crasto will next face top seeded Japanese pair Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota in the semifinal after their previous successes this season.
