South African players never cease to amaze on the field. Be it a youngster, or a veteran, they take fielding pretty seriously. Proof of that was visible when Rusty Theron pulled off the cricket’s most unique and awkward catch in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023. Playing for India Capitals, the former Proteas fast bowler initially dropped the skier. However, the ball hit Theron’s thigh, then his groin area and eventually went into the fielder’s hands.
Umpires were not sure if Theron took a clean catch, but replay showed that the 38-year-old had somehow completed a clean catch.

Theron’s catch provided the Capitals the crucial wicket of Dilshan Munawera. Apart from that brilliant catch, Theron was also the star with the ball in hand as he finished his spell with 2/19 in his four overs.
The fast bowler’s good bowling display helped to restrict Super Stars to just 163.
