Rahul Dravid Takes Break to Watch Son Play in Mysuru After Marathon Meeting with BCCI & Selectors

After a marathon meeting with BCCI & selectors, Rahul Dravid took some personal time to witness his son play. His eldest son, Samit Dravid is playing in the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy which the India Cricket Team head coach in Mysore went to witness. His youngest son, Anvay is playing U16 Vijay Merchant Trophy.
Coming to the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy, Uttarakhand has posted 232/9 at stumps on Day 1. Samit Dravid bowled 5 overs where he gave away just 11 runs along with 2 maiden overs, thereby boasting of an economy of 2.2.
On the other hand, his youngest son, Anvay Dravid playing in the U16 Vijay Merchant Trophy was the highest scorer of his side. He slammed a fine knock of 59 runs as Karnataka finished their innings on 236. The young Dravid scored 59 from 133 balls, much like his father, hitting 8 fours in the process.

For Rahul Dravid, it has been a tiring week. He was a part of a marathon meeting with the BCCI officials and the BCCI Selection Committee. Dravid whose contract as the Head Coach of the India team expired after the conclusion of the ODI World Cup, has been given an extension by the BCCI.
But Dravid is yet to sign the contract as he has not officially received the contract. The BCCI selection committee met yesterday to decide and announce the squad that will travel to South Africa for the upcoming Mega series.
