Suresh Raina was the first Indian to hit an T20I ton.

After hitting his maiden ton in the IND vs AUS 3rd T20I, Ruturaj Gaikwad has become the 9th Indian to score a T20I century. The first Indian to score a T20I century was Suresh Raina, and the last person before Ruturaj was Yashasvi Jaiswal. The opener had scored a great fifty in the second match and has now played a masterful 123 knock to take India past the 200-run mark for a third consecutive match.

The right-handed opener saved India from a definite defeat by taking the Men in Blue from 81-3 in 10.2 overs to 222-3 in 20 overs. His 141-run fifth-wicket stand with Tilak Varma helped India take complete control of the match. The opener scored 55% of the team’s runs, as the whole team (including extras) managed to score just 99 runs off 63 balls.
