Chael Sonnen Inks Iconic Anderson Silva Tribute on His Arm “Man of My Word”
The former UFC fighter and title challenger took to X to reveal that he got a tattoo of his former opponent. He posted three different pictures of him getting Silva on his right bicep and captioned it with, “I’m a man of my word.”
Fans had very different reactions to the tattoo. Some saw the funny side of it and made several jokes about it. Some claimed that it was definitely AI or Photoshop as there was no way Sonnen would do something like this. And others wondered why ‘The Bad Guy’ had to get an Anderson Silva tattoo.
Sonnen offered no explanation as to why he got the tattoo. However, Silva and Sonnen had some of the greatest pre-fight build-ups we can remember. There were several verbal battles and many potential deals between the two based on the outcome of the fight.
Therefore, it will be no surprise to find out that Chael Sonnen got the Anderson Silva tattoo because of a bet with the Brazilian. It could very well be because Sonnen lost to the Brazilian in both fights. However, until Sonnen confirms it, we will not know for sure.
