While the Indian fans are still drooling over Mohammad Shami’s stunning performance in the recently concluded World Cup 2023, the spotlight now gradually shifts to his younger brother, Kaif, who is steadily making his mark on the path to fame.

Mohammed Kaif who made his List A debut for Bengal in 2021, has been amongst the wickets in the first four matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The pacer has picked up 7 wickets in 4 matches, with his best figures coming in the last game against Goa where he picked 3 wickets.

His figures in the first four matches has been – 3/39, 0/18, 2/12, 2/26, 1/28.

While he has so far played a supporting role in the bowling department for Bengal, he has shown that he is not far away from being the main lead in Bengal’s win in domestic games.

Constant support from brother Shami

While Kaif is still far away from national call-up, he has been receiving constant support and backing from his brother Shami.

In 2021, when Kaif made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir, Shami was the first to congratulate his brother.

“Congratulations to my brother on your Vijay Hazare Trophy debut. We have waited for this moment. You are one step closer to the ultimate dream. Keep working hard”, Shami wrote on Instagram

With pace, swing, and an inspirational brother beside him, the name, fame and an IPL game is not far away from him.
