IND vs NZ World Cup semi-final match is just one day way. The English commentary panel is locked for the mega clash at the Wankhede Stadium
The much-awaited commentary team for the IND vs NZ World Cup semi-final clash is out. On the expected lines, the list consists of some of the most loved commentators. Veteran Sunil Gavaskar will lead the panel, which includes names like Ian Smith, Ravi Shastri, Simon Doull, Dinesh Karthik, Anjum Chopra, Sanjay Manjrekar, and Eoin Morgan. The match will be telecast on Star Sports, with live streaming on Disney + Hotstar.
The commentary panel is almost the same as it was during IND vs NZ semi-final match in 2019. The only two additions to the list are Dinesh Karthik and Anjum Chopra. Karthik was part of the 2019 WC team and was in the playing XI.
But this time, he is not in the reckoning, as the youngsters in the team have pipped him in the race. As far as Anjum is concerned, the former India captain has come a long way and is now considered one of the leading commentators in the game.
IND vs NZ: India eye revenge of 2019 WC loss against bogey team New Zealand
Memories are flooding for Indian fans, as it was New Zealand who knocked out India four years ago in the WC. It was MS Dhoni’s last international game, and he did not have a fairytale ending as Martin Guptill’s direct throw, sinked the hearts of millions of Indian fans across the globe. Also, Ian Smith’s commentary is still fresh in the minds of fans. This time, the fans would be hoping India wins the game, and Ravi Shastri or Harsha Bhogle is behind the voice when India wins the semis clash.
In the group stage of the match, India comfortably beat New Zealand by four wickets, with Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami starring with bat and ball respectively.
