Australia’s veteran batter Steve Smith had another brain-fade moment during IND vs AUS World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The batter was given out LBW on Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery.
The 34-year-old, who looked a little confused after the decision, had a brief chat with Travis Head, and opted not to review. However, the replay showed that the impact was outside off stump.

Smith later described the moment a “brain fade”.
Notably, Australia is chasing 241 in the World Cup final. After opting to bowl, the Men in Yellow bowled brilliantly as they restricted the hosts to 240 in 50 overs. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers with a 3-wicket haul.
