Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra was in attendance as Bengaluru FC took on Punjab FC at Sree Kanteerava in ISL 2023-24. India’s Golden Boy shared a heartfelt moment with Bengaluru FC and Indian Football Team skipper Sunil Chhetri. Chopra attended the match after being named as the brand ambassador for JSW Group, which includes Bengaluru FC.
Chopra had an incredible year, becoming the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August. He replicated his idol, Jan Jelezny, who claimed both the Olympic and world crowns at the same time. In October, he defended his gold medal in the Asian Games. A heartwarming moment was created when the Olympic gold medalist exchanged jerseys with Sunil Chhetri.
